Depression

Depression can happen to anyone. But despite increased awareness and the availability of help, many people ignore the signs, and feel they must soldier on.

Usually, they either think that their particular case is not serious enough to warrant treatment - that it is simply a sadness that will pass - or, they feel embarrassed to admit that they are suffering, thinking that should be able to deal with the issue.

Instead, we should realise that depression is a common mental health condition, that is treatable - and, that the sooner we get the appropriate help, the sooner we will be back in control of our lives.

The great thing about hypnotherapy, is that there is no need for medication: no side effects from the chemicals, and no need to worry that we are taking a treatment unnecessarily. In fact, even if you are completely healthy, hypnotherapy will make you feel relaxed and energised- there really are no downsides!

And, recent studies suggest that hypnosis is a very effective way of alleviating the symptoms of depression* - with the average participant receiving hypnosis in 13 trials showing more improvement than about 76% of control participants.
